Call Congress & Support HR 6367

Congressman Kevin Brady of Texas has introduced HR 6367, which amends Title 18 of US Code 924c. This is the infamous 10 year charge by Johnny Sutton against BP Agents Ramos/Compean that was just sustained by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. It is imperative that this now established precedent never be improperly used against law enforcement officers enforcing their official duties.

Friends of the Border Patrol and the Federal Hispanic Law Enforcement Officers Association who consulted with Mr. Brady's staff during drafting of the legislation have formally endorsed this legislation, which is imperative it be passed prior to the end of this session so as to prevent not only future Ramos/Compean cases, but also to ensure that future officers do not hesistate to choose between being judged by 12 or carried by six.
